Quest for Health Education
My first husband passed away is his twenties, from Hodgkin's Disease. I began a quest to find answers to many health issues. It was difficult without computers.
Yoga Background
I began my yoga journey with Lilias Yoga and You on KET TV 1977. I wanted an in person class, but there were no yoga classes in Kentucky or surrounding states, at that time. In 1994 I registered for a yoga Class at U of L, in Kentucky. It was a Continuing Ed. Class with Judi Rice, who was an Iyengar Junior Level. teacher. After two, 8 week sessions, I was invited to come to her home studio in Kentucky. I took classes from her for 3 years at her home, and U of L. She became very ill and recommended me to U of L, to take over her class. She passed away and I taught at U of L for 3 years. U of L discontinued their Continuing Education Program, except for business classes. I moved to The Center For Integrative Healh. Ten of the students who attended my first class, at Uof L, moved with me. The class of ten is still with me. In addition to my business. I started teaching private classes in my home. I still teach group classes on Monday and Wednesday, and private sessions in my office studio, and my home studio.
